FAQ GMES (Industrial/Large Commercial)
Q1. Will gas supply continue as normal?
Gas supply will continue as normal unless advised otherwise by the system operators.
Q2. Will GMES be operating as normal? Will my enquiries be attended during the period?
Our PICs and their managers can always be contacted by phone. Our office is operating as normal and the office hours remain unchanged.
Q3. How do I make enquiries regarding my gas bill?
Please log onto our e-services portal or contact our personnel.
Q4. Will the deadline for conclusion of the Gas Supply Agreement be extended?
The deadline is still 31 March 2020. However, please write to us if you are unable to meet this deadline stating reasons why an extension period is required.
Q5. Can I cancel or adjust my nominations for next week and the future?
Nomination can be made 2 days before the day of usage. No approval is required.
Q6. Can I nominate zero usage during this period?
You should nominate zero only if you are not using any gas.
Q7. Can I delay payment for my gas bill due to this Order?
No. You are encouraged to pay by TT or other electronic means of payment during this period.
Q8. Will meter reading be conducted as per schedule?
Yes. Meter reading and bill will be issued as scheduled.

Gas Malaysia Berhad (“Gas Malaysia” or “the Company”) wishes to inform that the Government has issued a directive, via a letter from Suruhanjaya Tenaga dated 6 December 2019, and as published on Suruhanjaya Tenaga’s website (www.st.gov.my), to effect the average natural gas selling price for the distribution segment by Gas Malaysia’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Gas Malaysia Energy and Services Sdn. Bhd. (“GMES”). The directive is for a period of two years beginning 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2021, with an annual review of such average natural gas selling price.
In view of the above, the Government has approved for the average natural gas selling price applicable for GMES for the first year beginning 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2020, to be set at RM33.65/MMBtu, which is lower by 2.91% or RM1.01/MMBtu compared to the current average natural gas selling price for the distribution segment.
